Your stopover from anywhere to everywhere. Safari Park (private game reserve) will cater for all your needs, from game drives, a swimming pool to a fully licensed restaurant.

Safari Park was developed in 2000 when Dercksen and Nazell got married and decided that a qeust and game farm will be quite welcome in the Karoo. The farm, Allanwater, was the ideal place, for it is situated next to the N1 just 25Km from Colesberg.

The farm has 3000ha natural Karoo veld. Two camps were turned into game camps, which the smaller is 300ha and the bigger 2900ha.

The smaller camp is next to the N1 and has 2 Tent house and a chalet. The Tent house has a built-on bathroom, is self-catering, has its own private braai/BBQ-area and sleeping place for 4 people. The Chalets (our own honeymoon suite), is also self-catering, has a indoor braai/BBQ and can accommodate 2 people.

In the game camp you will find a variety of antelope, and because of the size of the camp, the breeding groups are kept small. The species you can expect are Wildbeest, Impala, Springbuck, Blesbuck, Steenbuck Kudu's, Zebra's. There are also a wide variety of birds species in the river which you van observe from your own private balcony.

The bigger of the two camps has already Kudu's, Waterbuck, Gemsbuck, Red Hartebeest, Eland, Wildebeest and Ribbuck established on it.

At the main set up, you will find the main house, a cottage, 2 charlets and a fully licensed restaurant. The main quest house has 1 double and 2 twinn rooms (all are in-suite). A communal braai/BBQ over-looking the swimming pool will and to your relaxation.

The Cottage has 2 rooms, a open plan living-dinning and kitchen area. Luxuries like air-con, underfloor heating and DSTV will await you.

The 2 thatched Chalets are just behind the restaurant and are self-catering. Each can accommodated 4 people, has a nice fire-place and kitchenette. Definitely what you need after a long and tired drive.

The restaurant and reception are combined. Our menu is limited but we try to cater for all. The fully licensed bar will provide -ice-cold beer for the thirsty ones. The shop is stocked with all the necessary things you forgot at home. We sell very tender Karoo lamb and also mount-watering biltong and droëwors.
